Timberlake Preschool Music and Movement classes
We are excited to bring your child a wonderful music
program here at Timberlake.
Our
child-centered approach to music is not only fun,
it nurtures every area of your child's developing mind and
body:
* Music helps your child gain
the sound processing, spoken language, and comprehension
skills that are the foundation of reading.
* Through music, your child will build the spatial-temporal
and reasoning skills required for math, science, and
critical thinking.
* Participating in a group musical activity, where children
are joyfully moving, sharing and creating together, develop
social and emotional skills that are essential for school
readiness—like
the ability to regulate their responses and relate to others
in complex ways.
* By moving and dancing to music, and playing simple
instruments, children improve their gross and fine motor
skills. Activities that encourage freedom within a fun and
friendly structure spark their creativity. *And of course,
you child will develop a lifelong love of music!
