See What I Saw takes your child on an imaginary trip to Grasshopper Park. While taking a musical visit to this make-believe park, your child will be invited to create and make choices, express opinions, solve problems, reflect and compare – all in a playful, musical way. When we're at the park, we discover unique sounds and learn to imitate them, meet and discover animal friends through puppet play, and enjoy a fun, make-believe picnic together. While activities are centered on your child's pretend play and imagination, this unit specially integrates the learning process by placing a strong musical emphasis on singing, steady beat and ensemble, as well as rhythm and rhythmic patterns.

The See What I Saw Home CD's offer a wide diversity of music for your listening pleasure. The music selections, which complement the semester’s activities and themes, introduce you to music of several cultures; songs of different meters, rhythms and modes; and a wide variety of instrumental and vocal sounds. These pieces were carefully selected to widen your child’s music listening experiences and appreciation of musical styles.
